Technology behind Street View
Google Street View add-on went live on May 29th 2007. Five American cities - Denver, Las Vegas, New York, San Fransisco and Miami are live now, while Paris and Prague will be soon added.
This application uses eleven video streams captured from a moving van and stitched together, creating an almost complete 360° spherical image with zoom capabilities.
